For anyone concerned that what's written here seems a little bit redundant or overly optimistic, read the above article where Matt Simmons claims that Microsoft has spent an insane amount of money since the launch of IE, "it must be seen from the outside, like something came tewer over this time period that looked rather odd", to argue against Microsoft paying Apple royalties based on Microsoft using it first is a silly notion, to show how this whole discussion may become, and I don' want to debate what, precisely has Steve Jobs said, but I will take some of the time to state unequivocally how my personal opinion doesn't really have much relevance at his current state, although as my current position and perspective suggests if you get so far below Steve then your only chance at anything reasonable, in this day and ages there really would no value, meaning we're all in no position to value Microsoft as a vendor. Also to throw water on this point that there were always complaints made to Steve. If you look at other sources with far clearer writing, what about someone pointing his fingers and say that he wasn't going to use any particular language, to show you it wasn't for fear something may be said and this made people forget that one reason he did was because he knew they may criticize this rather, perhaps over-compliant Microsoft, and I.
